Learning Accord MAT
We are proud to say that as of effect from 1st December 2025, St John’s C E Primary School is an academy and part of Learning Accord Multi-Academy Trust (MAT). This conversion marked a significant step forward in our school’s development and commitment to excellence in education.
As part of a large family of schools, we benefit from shared expertise, joint professional development, and peer-led support across the Trust to enable our own St John’s family to flourish.
Learning Accord fosters strong teaching standards through research-informed pedagogy, targeted teacher development, and continuous performance monitoring.
Joining a large trust also brings stronger governance systems, clearer accountability, and enhanced safeguarding support for pupils at every stage.
While we embrace the benefits of being in a Trust, we will continue to value and uphold our Church of England ethos, retaining autonomy over our distinctive character and values, something that we as a school and Learning Accord as a MAT are extremely proud of.
Both the school and MAT work very closely with the Diocese of Leeds, fostering excellent relationships to enable the school to continually move in the right direction.
