Year 1 - Orange Class (Mrs Brunton and Miss Houlihan)
Year 1 Long Term Plan
Your child will have daily English, maths, phonics or comprehension and spelling lessons.
Weekly, the children will have lessons in:
- Geography or history
- Science
- RE
- Art or DT
- Computing
- Music
- 2 PE lessons
- PSHE

Orange Class Timetable
Days to remember:
Tuesday and Friday - PE days. Please send your child to school in their full PE kit. Earrings and jewellery must be removed.
Wednesday - Reading books and homework will be collected in.
Friday - Homework will be sent home to be collected in the following Wednesday. Spellings will also be sent home which will be tested the following Thursday.

Handwriting
Every day the children will take part in a short handwriting session focusing on forming individual letters correctly. We will be teaching the children how to add exit lines to certain letters ready for when they start to join up in Year One so please spend a few minutes two to three times a week looking at the letters of the week in your child's homework book. Please click on the links below to see how the children will be taught to form each letter. We will still be using the RWI rhymes but will say whoosh at the end when there is a flick e.g P: down the plait, back up and round the pirates face and whoosh!
